Marcus, Russell and Richard's skills session

Marcus, Russell and Richard came to me via recommendation and we began as ever with my skills check, I saw I needed to work collectively on their footwork, looking and body position as well as their mental skills too.  We moved to the drop technique to work on their new skills sets and they were soon riding the largest of the drops and Marcus was able to begin to style it too.
A cornering excersise was next before we moved to the skills trail and began working hard on their cornering and trail fluidity.
Flat, bermed, off camber and switchback turns were linked to rocks, pumping, jumps, steps and drops. We moved down the trail methodically and always added the next section to the previous ones. Before long, they were riding the 14 sections end to end and getting faster and smoother as a result. I did some work on body positioning when riding steeper sections and from there we moved to the 6ft tabletop to work on jumping.
In a few short steps they were airbourne and both Marcus and Rich cleared it and then rode the 6ft gap jump whilst Russell worked on his timing on the tabletop.
Lastly, we moved to the pump and jump trail to work on absorbing sections on the trail and choosing which to jump or pump to stay resonant with the trail.
Five hours since we began they declared tiredness and our session came to a happy close.
Awesome session guys.
High5!
