What a session with Guy!

Guy made the trip up from Brighton via train and on meeting I ran him through the skills check and found he was missing looking and body positioning. I made a set up change that drastically changed how he felt on the bike and off we went to begin to apply both physical and mental skills to various techniques.
The drops proved easy as he applied the mental skills and was landing perfectly off all 3.
The skills trail was next and we worked on linking all 14 sections of the trail via control areas. Pumping, absorbing, steps, jumps, rock gardens and drops we all linked to flat bermed, off camber and switchback corners and he was flying!
We took a break in the heat and moved on to riding a steep drop off and Guy applied his mental skills to ride it and was stunned at how easy it was and he knew why.
On to jumping tabletops and in a few short moves he was sailing over the 6ft tabletop and rode the gap jump a few times too.
I moved onto the pump and jump trail to work on pumping, jumping and manuals and choosing which technique to use at any given section along the trail and he really got to grips with it quickly and linked to berms in at the end of the trail easily.
Guy had more in him so we moved to another trail that is faster and tighter to ride and linked all the sections on that trail together and used the skills sets again to move the bike in the air too.
The heat of the day was taking its toll on him but he had some more in him so we moved to our final application of the skills sets. linking corners and a 9ft gap jump and another corner together and riding it smooth as silk too.
What an amazing session and a great way to end the weeks coaching.
High5!
